Glasgow Podcart are looking for a proactive and creative individual to take charge of our arts section on our site! Sophie Stubbs is our current arts co-ordinator and needs help from someone committed to this type of role! Our music section is incredibly busy and we want our arts section to mirror that as we feel it is vitally important to network as many of the art forms as is possible. This is what we are looking for in our chosen individual:
* Someone to review art exhibitions and artists
* Someone to update the website and manage submissions from people
* Keep website updated with news and events information
* Help assist and plan future Podcart exhibitions
* Promote artists through social networking sites and network in person through events and groups
In return you will benefit from working with a varied and vast amount of interesting and influential people. Your portfolio will benefit from association and also it will be a unique learning opportunity. You will have the freedom to create your own ideas for events and the freedom to develop what you believe to be a creative platform.
We have to stress this is a voluntary position and will not take up your full time, however you need to be extremely self-motivated and committed.
Hello all, I am please to inform that I have joined team 'Glasgow Podcart' - as a general art admin if you like. If yall don't already know what it's all about then shame on you! Here's the link to all you need to know plus here's a wee bit about the greatness that is me! Lots of exciting stuff to come - watch this space! Hoorah!
Get involved in Central Station. It's a space where artists, film-makers and designers can talk about their process, showcase their work, share tools and tips and access resources. It's a bloody great site that keeps bang up to date keeping you informed of potential collaboration and exhibition opportunities and is a fantastic way to get your work out there! They also happen to feature sophiegetseverywhere on their home page and include one of my pieces in their 'We like this in January' blog. So, like I say, just GET INVOLVED!
Yo yo yo... new life drawings added to the life section of the site. I did these at 'All the Young Nudes' which is an untutored life class at the Flying Duck, Glasgow every Tuesday 8pm-10pm - only £4. Get in!
All hardcore rockers will be interested to know that 'Nude Pilots' are playing in MacSorleys in Glasgow this Sunday 29th November. I'll be there, and so will you. From 5pm (ish)

There will be guided tours around the Beresford Building every half an hour starting at 10am and finishing at 4pm on Sat 19th and Sun 20th September where you can see my mural on display in the main foyer. Be sure to pick up a postcard! more info
